Lim Boon Leng, MBBS, MMed (Anaes), FAMS

After completing anesthesiology training in Singapore, A/Prof Lim received his training in intensive care medicine at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth, Western Australia from 1992-1993, under the Health Manpower Development Plan scholarship. He was appointed director of the surgical intensive care unit from 1996-2002 and then head of the Department of Anaesthesia & Surgical Intensive Care from 2004-2009. A/Prof Lim is active in national and international academic activities. He has held leadership positions in his field both locally and regionally. He serves on committees of Singapore’s Ministry of Health and his institution, which center on standards for graduate medical education, as well as medical ethics. Shortly after ACGME International was formed as a pilot project in Singapore, Dr. Lim served as the designated institutional official at SingHealth.
